April was an exciting month as my best friend Stephanie and I went to Sydney, Australia for a weekend getaway. While there we climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge which was a real challenge for both of us as neither of us are great at heights and my climbing with my asthma was an unknown event.
It was a magical experience and so neat I would do it again. We went up in the daylight and came down in the dusk so we saw the sunset over the opera house which was fabulous.
This month I have tried to show the harbour bridge in the background with me being excited in my grey suit. The blue was chosen as so much of sydney revolves around the harbour and while we were there we went on ferries, jet boats and over the bridge on the train so lots of water in our visit.

The excitemen and joy, the harbor and water were instantly apparent when I clicked on your blog! I didn't get the bridge part until I read the post, but that's probably because I don't know Sidney. Once I read your post it's obvious. I love all of your use of fibers integrated with the beads... the natural and helter-skelter look of it!!! Bravo!
I am pleased that you liked it. I have some smaller grey AB beads to stitch inside and then i will outline the others with some blue/grey beads that I have. this one will be framed but I think the others I am going to make into a book somehow. I have been enjoying the posts about finishing the work.

Wow, this is so neat to see, especially because of a particular photo I've seen recently, click
HERE to see it.
This photo was sent to me (to post on my high school alumni web site) by a classmate who had visited this bridge. I've never been to Sydney, but I was impressed by your lovely piece that recalls the same exciting experience! Plus, I have to mention your fiber embroidery -- it's unlike anything I've ever seen and beautiful!
